Weather started off fantastic but gradually got worse until we were fishing in storms.

Fishing was still excellent with JM catching his PB Catfish at 107lb.

Sue and Doug were fantastic hosts as normal.

A great weeks fishing, our usual boat trip with a Catfish and some fantastic looking fish.

Nice to meet the family which added to the banter and enjoyment.

Great hosts, great fishing and great advice from Doug.

Thank's for all the help with the cats; the epic 6 hour tussle that was lost and the 2 hour fight that Luke landed.

It was nice to finally meet you all.

We had a fantastic time and we will certainly return.

This was my first fishing trip to France. My PB in the UK was 28lb 8oz.

When we arrived Doug welcomed Catherine and myself to Woodpecker and he asked me what I would like to get from my week, I told him that a 30 would be nice.

Although just being here watching the wildlife and sharing this fabulous environment was fantastic in itself. As you can see I was completely blown away with the fishing.

Sue and Doug's hospitality was fantastic. When Doug wasn't around, which was rare Claire pitched in and lent a hand.

Doug's knowledge of the fishing and the local wildlife was fabulous.

We would love to return again soon. Thank you for everything.

Sorry for the lack of words at the airport. I had a lump in my throat preventing the words from coming out.

We got home OK, a little late by 20mins.  We all had a fantastic time and I can't thank you enough for the time you spent with me at the lake side.  Can you please say a big thank you to Sue for taking my girls out in the week with your family.  Sue didn't have to do that but the fact she did shows how kind she is and what a wonderful woman she is too.

I'm already looking forward to my next visit, which will come round soon enough.  No doubt I'll speak with you before then.

You're a top bloke and a very special friend.  Take care for now and love to you both.xx
