Welcome to our beautiful 2.5 acre carp fishery in the Perigord Vert region of the Dordogne in the South West of France.

Woodpecker Pool is an exclusive booking lake with accommodation set within its own private grounds close to the town of Thiviers. The venue is ideally suited for families wishing to enjoy a holiday in France with excellent fishing and the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful area of the country.

Our carp grow to over 40lbs, with grass carp to over 30lbs, and a catfish of around 140lbs. The lake also contains a range of small species perfect for friendly family fishing matches! The lake has not been heavily fished in recent years, so the fish are usually very obliging!
